Description

Barracks Cottages is a long range of five cottages located on John's Cross Road in Mountfield. The north end of the building likely dates from the 18th century, while the southern part is slightly later. The cottages are two storeys tall and feature ten windows. The ground floor is constructed of red brick, while the upper floor is weatherboarded. The roof is tiled, and the windows are casement style. The two central window bays are elevated higher than the others. Cottages 1 and 2 are also known as Clematis Cottage and Rosemary Cottage, respectively.
