Description

Numbers 34, 35, and 35A on High Street is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It features three windows on the northeast side and one window on the southeast side. The ground floor is finished in stucco and red brick, while the upper floor is covered with curved tiles. The building has a parapet and a half-hipped tiled roof, with intact glazing bars on the first floor. The modern shop fronts are well-designed. Notably, the medieval guildhall of the Mountjoy Guild once occupied this site, and the 14th-century vaulted cellars from that period still remain, as noted on a plaque on the building.
