Description
Mashefoldes Farm is a house dating from around 1600, with an east bay and southern outshut added around 1700, a northern extension from about 1870, and a western extension from the 20th century. The building features a timber frame with daub panels, a brick exterior, weatherboarding, and tile-hanging, topped with a clay tile roof. The main facade faces north and consists of two storeys with scattered windows, while the entrance is located in the western extension. Inside, there is a two-bay box frame with surviving internal doorways and a roof constructed with side-purlins and collars. The eastern bay, built around 1700, has a lean-to outshut to the south and a two-flue brick chimney situated between the original building and the new bay, also from around 1700. A two-storey wing was added to the south around 1870.
