Description
Rosebank is a 14th-century timber-framed building of Wealden type, significantly altered in the 16th century. It is located on the High Street in Robertsbridge, on the east side. The building has a recessed central section with curved braces supporting coved eaves. Originally, projecting wings oversailed on the first floor, but these have since been underbuilt with painted brick. The south wing has a tile-hung painted first floor. A steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof covers the structure. Casement windows are present throughout. A portion of the north end has been built out on the ground floor to create a shop, although it is currently unused. Internally, the building features a crown-post roof.
