Description

St Saviour's War Memorial in Eastbourne features a wooden cross approximately 4.5 meters high, displaying a white figure of Christ crucified. The cross is set on a red brick octagonal plinth topped with stone. This plinth is supported by a three-stepped base, with the upper two steps made of red brick and the bottom step of stone.

The plinth includes inset stone panels, six of which bear the names of those commemorated. One panel features the inscription "THESE/ DIED FOR US," while another notes "THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918."
