Description
The structure consists of a wall, gatepiers, and gates that are located adjacent to Baylis House to the southeast. It is approximately 130 metres long and 2.5 metres high, dating from the early to mid 18th century. The walls are made of red brick, while the square gate and end piers are constructed from grey brick with red dressings and feature moulded stone coping. The design is L-shaped, with three bays of blind arcading on the northeast side at the junction with the house, and a depressed blind arch in the return. There are two pairs of gatepiers on the southwest side, which support 20th-century wrought iron gates and overthrows. This structure is included for its group value.
