Description
The Old King's Arms Public House, located at 21 Tickford Street, is a building that dates back to the 16th century but was refronted in the 17th century and altered in the 19th century. It features a stucco exterior with old tiles and a diapered red brick stack topped with a corbelled cornice. The structure is two storeys high with an attic and includes a box dormer. On the first floor, there are two sash windows and a band. The door has a decorative surround with a frieze and a hood above it. On the ground floor, there is a 19th-century window and a carriageway to the left. Notably, there is a stone-carved panel on the first floor that dates to 1690.
