Description

26 St John Street is a late 16th-century house constructed with a timber frame and red bricks. It stands two storeys tall and features an oversailing dormer gable. The house is narrow, with one window on each storey. The first-floor window is an 18th-century casement, and there is a similar casement in the dormer. The ground floor is flush with the first floor and contains an 18th-century sash window, along with a wooden doorcase that has an open pediment supported by console brackets.
