Description

The Ivy Hall Hotel is an early 18th-century building with an L-shaped plan. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of brown brick with red dressings. The building features a modillion eaves cornice and a slate roof, except for the southern slope, which retains its original tiles. The longer arm of the building runs parallel to the road and has a central doorcase with a pediment. The river front, dating from the mid to late 18th century, rises to four storeys and includes two full-height, three-window splayed bays, a Venetian window on the first floor, and a battlemented parapet.
