Description
Brinsworth House is a probably late 18th century or early 19th century house that was remodeled in the early to mid 19th century. It is a two-storey building with three bays. The house features a low pitched slated roof with deep bracketed eaves. It is constructed of brick, with stucco quoins and first floor window surrounds. On either side of the central entrance are semi-circular bow windows, which are topped with balconies that have an attractive iron balustrade, iron pilasters, and arches supporting tented canopies. The entrance is ornately detailed in stucco, featuring a console bracketed hood and a balustraded balcony above, supported by Doric half columns.
To the right of the main building, connected by a later two-storey extension, is another two-storey structure that has one tripartite window and is likely contemporary with the remodeling of the earlier house.
