Description

Nos. 5, 7, and 9, Dury Road, known as Gothic Place, are a group of 18th-century timber-framed houses. The rear elevations are weatherboarded. The frontages were altered in the 19th century, with No. 9 projecting. Each house has one bay and features a timber "Gothick" fretted verandah and a canted bay. The gables have fretted bargeboards and imitation timbering. No. 9 incorporates a single first-floor window and door recessed within a decorative surround. The buildings are included in the list for group value.
