Description

This is a row of twelve houses, numbered 1 to 12, located on the north side of Bloomfield Terrace in the City of Westminster. The houses date to approximately 1830 and are designed as a group of linked semi-detached villas. They are constructed of brick with stucco dressings and a slate roof. Each house is two storeys high with a basement, and each is two windows wide. Pairs of houses are set forward slightly, with stucco pilasters marking the centre and ends of each pair. Separate entrances are located in the outer bays of each pair. Single-storey light blocks are also present. The houses have panelled doors and square-headed windows with gauged heads. The ground-floor windows are tripartite in arrangement, with flanking shutters, sash windows, and glazing bars. Pitched roofs extend to the eaves, and each pair of houses has a hipped roof. Original cast iron area railings are also present.
