Description
The Accumulator Tower and Chimney, built around 1855, is an early octagonal structure located on the west side of Mill Place, E14. The tower features an octagonal chimney stack attached to its north side, and it was originally part of a pumping station that has since been demolished. It was likely constructed to provide hydraulic power for the cranes at the Regent's Canal Dock, designed by engineer Rendel. The tower is made of stock brick and includes a cornice and parapet, with white brick and stone dressings. It has slit windows on three faces.
