Description
Lochaber Hall is a single-storey building constructed in 1910 by Ernest Newton, located on Manor Lane. The building features multicoloured stock brick and has a wide, fairly high-pitched roof that is slated, with overhanging eaves on the sides and a brick dentil cornice at the gable. The gable also includes a large, four-light, square-headed window with a brick arch in two planes, flanked by brick pilasters. The angles of the building are accentuated by gabled buttresses that break the roof line. There are five side bays defined by these buttresses, which have a sloping step just below the eaves. The projecting ground floor has a brick-quoined centre and recessed porches at the outer corners, supported by stout Doric columns. This building was formerly the Parish Hall of the Church of Holy Trinity, which was destroyed during World War II.
