Description
The Royal Hospital entrance gates and lodges, located on the north-west side of Burton's Court and facing St Leonard's Terrace, were built between 1682 and 1702. They consist of two one-storey lodges made of brown brick, featuring red dressings and wooden mutule cornices. The lodges are positioned on either side of the entrance gates and railings, which are set between stone piers topped with trophies, aligning with the main axis of the hospital.
