Description

This building comprises two houses, 118 and 119 Cheyne Walk. The western part, number 119, dates from the late 18th century. It is three storeys high with 20th-century dormers added later. The facade has two windows on number 119 and one window on number 118. The building is constructed of red brick and was restored and partly rebuilt following damage in the Second World War. The house is of group value, being associated with the artist J.M.W. Turner, who died here in 1851, as recorded in the Survey of London, Volume IV.
