Description

The statue of John Wesley, located in the forecourt of Wesley's Chapel, was created in 1891 by Adams Acton. It is made of bronze and stands on a granite base. The plinth is square in shape and crafted from grey granite, inscribed with the word 'WESLEY'. The base is made of pink polished granite, also square with curved apsidal ends, and bears the inscription 'ERECTED WITH FUNDS COLLECTED BY THE CHILDREN OF METHODISM'.
