Eighteen lamp posts are located in the forecourt of the British Museum. These lamp posts date from the mid-19th century and are made of elaborate cast iron in the Rochester style, featuring ladder bars. They stand on stone plinths, with the four lamp posts opposite the portico each having three globes.
