Description
Numbers 3-6 and attached railings are a group of four terraced houses dating to circa 1825. They were built by Thomas Cubitt as part of a larger terrace. The houses are constructed of multi-coloured stock brick with stucco ground floors, and extend over four storeys and basements. Each house originally had three windows. Number 4 slightly projects. The doorways are round-arched, featuring vertically barred fanlights and panelled, studded doors. First-floor windows are casements, with continuous cast-iron balconies. Gauged brick flat arches feature above the casements, and third and fourth-floor windows are sashes. A continuous entablature runs along the third floor. Number 4 includes tetrastyle pilaster treatment across the first and second floors, and an attic storey with pilaster strips. The building is finished with a cornice and blocking course. Interiors were not inspected. Attached cast-iron railings, topped with foliated finials, are present to the areas.
