Description
The Cabmen's Shelter, built in 1897 and restored in 1987, is a timber-framed and clad structure located on the north side of Russell Square in Camden. It features a steeply pitched half-hipped roof with eaves, covered in feather edged boards, and has a central louvred fleche. The shelter measures seven bays by three bays wide and is a single storey. It has a central square-headed entrance and square-headed windows with glazing bars located in the 2nd and 6th bays. Similar windows are found in alternating bays on the other facades. The roof and the area below the eaves are adorned with fretwork panels. The interior has not been inspected.
