Description

Byford House, formerly known as The Queen Inn, is a timber-framed and plastered house dating from the 16th to 17th century. It was refronted in the early 19th century with brick, which is now colourwashed. The building has two storeys and features a raised brick band that runs between the storeys. Adjoining the house on the west end is a 17th-century barn. The roof is covered with 20th-century tiles. Inside, there is an exposed beam and joist ceiling.
