Description

The Rose and Crown Inn is a 16th-century timber-framed and plastered house located on North Street in Hundon. It features a crosswing at the north end, with a later wing extending from this section. The crosswing has a jettied first storey, showcasing exposed joists and brackets. The building has two storeys and attics, and it includes casement windows with glazing bars from the 20th century. The roof is tiled, and there is the base of a former shafted chimney stack that is panelled on the front. The Rose and Crown Inn is part of a group that includes Hundon Post Office and Stores, the Old Schoolhouse, Flint Cottage, Lyndale, and Nos 1 to 3 Church Street, along with the Church of All Saints.
