Description

Oakapples is a house from the early 18th century featuring a three-cell lobby-entrance plan. It has one and a half storeys with attics and is constructed from timber framing that is rendered. The roof is thatched and includes an axial chimney made of red brick, along with eyebrow casement dormers. The house has 20th-century casements with leaded lights. There is a mid-20th-century entrance porch that has a plain-tiled gabled roof and a battened and boarded door. This building is a typical example of an 18th-century framed house, incorporating many reused framing members.
