Description

The Church of St Mary is a small church dating from the 13th and 14th centuries, featuring buttresses. The 14th-century west tower is constructed of flint and stone, topped with a castellated parapet and diagonal buttresses. The nave and chancel are faced in cement. Both the north and south doorways display late Norman ornamentation. The nave roof, from the 14th century, includes braced cambered tie beams with crown posts that have moulded caps and bases. Inside, there are notable poppyhead bench ends. The church is recognized for its architectural and historical significance.
