Description

Chilton Cottage is a small timber-framed and plastered house that dates from the 15th to 16th century, although it features mainly 18th-century and later external elements. The building was renovated in the 20th century. It has one original window with diamond mullions and is designed with one storey and end attics. The windows include a mix of double-hung sashes and casements. The roof is thatched, hipped at the south end and half hipped at the north end, and it has a central chimney stack. There is one dormer on the east side.
