Description

The Church of St Andrew is a Grade I listed flint church with stone dressings located on Church Road in Great Cornard. The west tower dates back to the 14th century and features diagonal buttresses with niches at the angles on the west side. To the north-east, there is a Tudor octagonal staircase tower made of red brick. The nave and chancel are primarily from the 15th century, while the south aisle was constructed in 1887. The west tower is topped with a shingled broach spire, and the chancel includes moulded and embattled beams. The church is recognized for its architectural and historical significance.
