Description

Stanstead Hall Farmhouse is a timber-framed building that dates back to the 15th and 16th centuries. It was refronted in white brick during the late 18th or early 19th century and features a tiled roof. The house has two storeys and a five-window range of double-hung sashes with glazing bars. A partly glazed canopy extends across the front of the building. There is a ridge chimney stack and an external chimney stack located at the east end. Inside, the farmhouse includes some heavy closely spaced ceiling beams and joists. It is situated on a square moated site.
