Description
The Church of St Margaret is a small church dating from the 13th to 14th century, now faced in stucco. It features a plain west tower topped with a later pyramid tiled roof, while the roofs of the nave and chancel are also tiled. The south porch is made of red brick from the 16th century and has a stopped gable on the front. Inside, the church boasts a fine king post roof with brackets, moulded shafts, and capitals. There are several pews from the 16th to 17th centuries on the north side, including one dated 1589. The communion rail and west gallery, which have turned balusters, likely date from the early 18th century. The pulpit with tester is from the 16th to 17th century. The church is valued for its historical and architectural significance.
