Description

The building at 1 Bridge Street is a 17th-century structure with a later 17th-century red brick facade facing Bridge Street. It is two storeys high and has three windows. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars and cambered heads, set in near-flush frames. Two entrances are located on the right-hand side. The roof is tiled. The rear of the building retains timber framing and an old tile roof. Attached to the east side is a narrow shop, 133 High Street, constructed of stucco and colourwashed, with a single casement window on the first floor, containing glazing bars. The ground floor is a shop with a wooden case and vertical glazing bars, and a central entrance. This addition has a slate pent roof.
