Description

Minto House, at numbers 72, 74 and 76 in Bildeston High Street, is a timber-framed building with external features dating to the 18th and early 19th centuries, although it may incorporate an earlier structure. The building has two storeys and an original five-window front. Most windows are double-hung sashes, with some retaining glazing bars (one window is blocked). The ground floor of number 74 features a small oriel bay, likely a former shop window, and a central doorway with pilasters and a modillion cornice. A cart entrance is located at the north end. The roof is slate-covered and has a central chimney stack with attached shafts, now cement rendered.
