Description

The Compasses Inn is a 15th to 16th century timber-framed and plastered building located on Store Street in Boxford. It features a two-storey cross wing at the south end, which has been restored and includes a jettied upper storey with exposed timber-framing. The main block of the inn is one storey with attics and is partly faced in painted brick, with no windows on the front. At the south end, there is a later single-storey addition. The roofs are tiled.
