Description

Bouttles is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered building, consisting of two blocks that step down the hill at different levels. At the rear, there is a wing extending to the south, and a small weatherboarded addition with a pantiled roof at the north end. The roofs are tiled. The south part of the north block features a jettied upper storey that projects at the front. A large tapered external chimney stack is located at the south end. The windows include a mix of casements, some with leaded lights, and double-hung sashes with glazing bars.
