Description

The premises of Mr. Brown is a 17th-century timber-frame cottage that has a roughcast exterior. The end wall is faced with 19th-century brick. It features a steep pantile roof with gabled ends and an off-centre brick chimney stack. The building is one storey with an attic, and it has two 19th-century casement windows, with an attic window located in the end gable. The cottage is positioned at right angles to the road. Additionally, there is a 20th-century one-storey shop on the end that faces the road.
