Description

Nos 26 and 28 on Broad Street in Harleston are 16th century buildings, with possible origins in the 17th century or earlier. They feature a roughcast front, while the south end wall is made of red brick. The buildings have a low pitched slated roof with gable ends and rise to three storeys. There are three widely spaced windows: the ground and first floors have sash windows with vertical glazing bars, while the second floor has small three-light casements. Two doorways are framed by moulded architraves with cornices, leading to fielded panel doors. A large brick chimney stack is positioned off centre and has four engaged diamond-shaped shafts.
