Description
Chestnut Tree Farmhouse, formerly known as Low Farmhouse, dates back to 1574, as indicated by the date and initials on an engraved tablet on the massive central chimney, which features separate shafts made of red brick. The building is two stories high with an attic and has three windows. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a mid-19th century red brick facade at the front. Inside, it is said to have exposed timbers on the upper floor. Additionally, there are remains of a moat surrounding the property.
