Description
Laurels Farmhouse is an early 17th century timber-frame house that has been plastered. It features a steep pantile roof with gabled ends and a central brick chimney stack. The building has two storeys and an attic, with attic windows located in the gable ends. There are two storeyed gabled porches at both the front and rear, with one window on either side of the porches. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and the ground floor has three-light sashes. At the west end, there is a 16th century cross wing that is also plastered timber-frame, with a two-storey structure and a pantile gable-ended roof supported by wind braces. Inside, the eastern part of the house features ceiling beams with ovolo moulded chamfers and carved stops.
