Description

The building is a barn and stables located north-east of The Homestead in Forncett St Peter, likely dating from the 17th century. It features a timber-frame construction that is weatherboarded, with a later addition of a lower pitched pantile roof that has a gabled end. There is a wagon entrance on the south side. The west end includes a clay lump extension, which also has a pantile roof. At the south-east, there is a long single-storey stable wing that is made of clay lump and has a hipped pantile roof. This structure is included for its group value.
