Description

Chestnuts is a 17th century timber-frame house located in Aldburgh. The house is rendered and features applied sham timber-framing. It has a thatched roof with gabled ends and an off-centre brick chimney stack. The building is two storeys high with an attic, which includes a window in the end gable. Modern casement windows with leaded panes are present throughout. The original doorway is positioned in front of the chimney stack and is accompanied by a modern porch and a one-storey wing that adjoins the house.
