Description
Walk Farmhouse, also known as Aylmer's Hall, is a timber-framed house dating from the 16th or 17th century, which has been rendered. It features a steep pantile roof with gabled ends and consists of two storeys and an attic, with attic windows located in the end gables. The building is a long range, with the south end showcasing a central brick chimney stack and three windows. The north end appears to have been extended, likely in the 17th century. The south end includes a central doorway positioned in front of the stack, adorned with reeded pilasters and a frieze, topped with a cornice and featuring a panelled door. The early 19th-century windows are three-light casements with dripmoulds.
