Description

St Margaret’s Cottage is a 17th and 18th century range of cottages. The construction is flint with red brick dressings, topped with a pantile roof featuring gabled ends and brick dentil eaves. The building is one storey high with an attic. Windows include two- and three-light casements, with No. 17 featuring a larger sash window. There are two flat-headed dormers with two-light casements containing glazing bars. No. 17 has a modern door with a small hood above it; No. 18 has a plank door and a modern glazed porch. No. 19, on the right-hand return, has three flat-headed dormers, one of which contains a casement with glazing bars, and a modern glazed door. Brick chimney stacks are present. The building possesses group value, contributing to the character of the surrounding area.
