Description

This is an 18th-century building with a red brick facade, although it stands on an earlier structure. It has a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate, concealed behind a parapet. The building is three storeys high and features a stucco cornice band, pilasters at the ends, and a slight central projection with three stone steps leading to a finely carved door surround. The door surround consists of fluted Roman Ionic pilasters, an entablature featuring an oak leaf frieze, a modillioned cornice, and is set against rusticated walling with an arched reveal. Three sash windows with glazing bars are set in plain reveals on each floor. The entrance is through a six-panel door. The Methodist Church, including numbers 13 and 17 to 21 (odd), forms a group.
