Description
1 High Street is a late 18th century red brick house that stands three storeys tall. It features a stucco cornice band and a parapet that conceals the Welsh slated roof. The façade includes five sash windows with glazing bars set in shallow reveals, all under flat arches. On the right side of the ground floor, there is a modern shop front that lacks a cornice. The entrance boasts a four-panel door set in a reveal, framed by two engaged fluted Doric columns that support a cornice hood. To the left, there is a two-storey wing. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 11 (odd), 15, 19, 21, an outbuilding east of No 21, 23, 23A, 25, 29, 33, 35, 35A, 37, 37B, 41A, 41, 43, 45, and 53 to 63 (odd).
