Description

No 20 Market Place is a late 17th century corner building that stands three storeys high and is finished in plaster. It features a deep cornice with decorative modillions beneath a steeply pitched tiled roof, which is cross-gabled and half-hipped. The first floor of the building overhangs the ground floor, which has shop windows. On the upper floors, there are two windows on each side; some are sash windows set in broad frames with wide glazing bars, while others are two or four-light leaded casements with wooden mullions and transoms. This building is part of a group of listed buildings in Market Place.
