Description

Nos 2 and 3 on Kneesworth Street are a late 16th century or early 17th century house with an altered front. This building was identified as the pantry of a neighboring house on Melbourn Street, which was occupied during the reign of James I by Prince Charles. The front features modern shops with cornices, while the first floor is cement rendered. The roof is old and tiled, with a modillioned wooden cornice. The building has two storeys and two flush casement windows, and the timber frame is exposed inside.
