Description

Nos. 2 to 5, Bancroft are a 19th-century building with significant alterations to a 15th-century structure. The ground floor now contains modern shops. The first floor is plastered, and the roof is tiled, featuring a 19th-century horsman figurine at the east end of the ridge, which is a survival from the original roofline detailing. There are four casement windows. Records from the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments and the Victoria County History provide further information.
