Description
Kinghams Meadow is a house built in 1858 for Lord Brownlow, intended as a residence for the Head Clerk at Ashridge. The building is constructed of red brick with sandy red brick dressings and features relieving arches above the stone mullioned windows. It has steep red tile roofs and is designed as a 1½ storey, L-shaped structure facing west. The house has a prominent gabled lucarne window on the upper floor and an asymmetrical design, with a gable on the left side of the west front that includes tall stair windows. To the right, there is a porch with a 'B' plaque above it, and an open timber porch on brick sills leads to the arched entrance door. The house is topped with tall octagonal chimney shafts that have stone bases, and the gables feature bracketed verges.
