Description

Waltham Hall is a house dating from the 17th century, or possibly earlier. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a red plain tile hipped roof. The house has two storeys and originally featured a three-window front with double-hung vertical sliding sash windows, some with glazing bars. A single tripartite sash window is present on the ground floor. A simple flat canopy, supported by brackets, covers the central doorway. A modern lean-to extension has been added to the north end of the front. The house has a double-range plan. Original red brick chimney stacks from the 17th century remain. 19th-century extensions, with grey slate roofs, have been added to the south end of the building.
