Description

Bishops is a house built in 1843 by Frances Smith, who demolished a 16th-century house previously on the site. The house was intended as a summer residence, with rooms designed to face north. The exterior is stuccoed, featuring rusticated quoins and a moulded band between the floors. It is two storeys and attics, with a three-window front. The upper floor has double-hung sashes with glazing bars and a square label mould above each window. The ground floor features four small canted bays with casement windows. The roof is tiled, with three flat-headed dormers and two central chimneys.
