Description
The Chequers Inn is a 17th to 18th century timber-framed building that was refronted in red brick in the early 19th century. The rear of the building is weather-boarded. It stands two storeys high and features a one:three:one window arrangement that is separated by pilasters. The central section, which has three windows, contains double-hung sashes with glazing bars, while the ground floor has small rectangular bay windows flanking a central doorway. The outer window sections are mainly casements. The roof is tiled and has a gambrel shape at the north end.
