Description

Redes The Colony is a house dating from the 15th century, with later extensions and alterations, including a 17th-century range at the rear and an 18th-century facade. It is now divided into two dwellings. The building has two storeys and features plain red tiled roofs. The front has a three-window range of 18th-century small paned sliding sashes. There is a fine six-panel door with Doric pilasters, moulded capitals, a frieze, and an open pediment with soffit mouldings. The entrance to Redes is set back to the right and has part weatherboarding with a 20th-century door. The house also has two red brick chimney stacks.
